Extended Schools

At Montbelle we offer a range of clubs before, during and after school where children are given the opportunity to build and develop their confidence and skills in a range of chosen activities. It is our mission to enhance every child’s potential as comprehensively as possible and to create a fun and stimulating environment for each and every one.
We have worked very hard over the last year to ensure the best organisation of the clubs, ensuring that the best coaches are available, that the breadth of activities is maintained so we can offer a real range of choices to the children of Montbelle. We insist that all our extended schools clubs create a fun and challenging environment for all participants. We hope that our successful year has been of benefit to you and that you will continue to support and make full use of the extended schools’ curriculum.

Our continued success in this area depends very much on you and the children that take part and I would ask you all to feed back any further ideas for additional club activities.

Your ideas for enhancement or improvement of our existing clubs would also be appreciated. Please give your input/feedback to the School Office

There have been some changes to clubs for next term, so please see the table below for the new timetable. Providers and costs to clubs are on the clubs own letters. The Homework Club has VERY limited spaces.

Please note, you MUST apply for each club directly to the separate club providers. For example, if your child would like to attend Football, Gymnastics and Film Club, you will need to hand in three separate envelopes to the office, clearly stating:

  • your child’s name
  • the club you are applying for
  • the club providers name along with payment in full

We will not be able to provide change at the office so please send in the correct money or cheque.

THE FULL AMOUNT MUST BE PAID WHEN SIGNING UP FOR A CLUB

Code of Conduct

Parents MUST ensure that the Code of Conduct is signed by both the parents and children and returned to the office so that we have a record for every child participating. Children will not be able to take part in clubs without the signed Code of Conduct.

REFUNDS

School cannot refund any money once the child has registered for the club.  This includes illness, days out on class trips or if your child chooses not to go to the club.

CLUBS BEHAVIOUR

In the past, it has been reported to the school that some lapses in good behaviour have been witnessed whilst attending club activities. We recognise that this behaviour has occurred as isolated incidents and that the vast majority of attendees are very well behaved; however, we must bring this to your attention and respectfully ask all club attendees to display good behaviour at all times and to respect both the school, coaches and other club participants. So that we can monitor any concerns of unacceptable behaviour and prevent continuing incident, a record sheet will be given to each club coach where they will record inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.  This will then be fed back to the child’s parents and a first warning given. If a child has two recordings in any one club they will be excluded with no refund of subscription fee.

SNACKS

Children will not be allowed to eat snacks during club times, except film club. If you do wish to provide a snack for your child they will be encouraged to eat before or after the session. This must be a healthy snack, ie fruit, not sweets or crisps.
