I have been a governor at various Greenwich schools at both primary and secondary level since 2000. I worked in Human Resources at Greenwich Council for many years until my retirement in 2013 and until recently lived in Mottingham. I am a Trustee at Inspire Partnership Academy Trust. I first became a governor as I have lived and worked in Greenwich all my life and I wanted to give something back to the community. I believe that all children deserve the best possible education and the chance to achieve their full potential. It is an exciting time to be a governor at Montbelle and I am looking forward to working the new head and being part of the school’s continuing journey towards excellence.

I have worked in education for over 15 years as a teaching assistant and then class teacher in a primary school in Chelsea. Teaching in years 1&2 as well as the Foundation stage has given me a passion for early years education. As well as a class teacher, I was also head of English and a member of the senior leadership team. During this time I also completed a BA in modern Theatre studies at Brunel University.
I am now taking a break from teaching to bring up my two children. I love cooking, the arts and where ever possible enjoy adventuring around the country.
I look forward to using my skills to become an active member of the governing body and to support the pupils, staff and parents in the continued development of Montbelle Primary school, as a place of inspiration and achievement.

Hello, I am a staff governor for the Governing Body; I currently teach in Year 4. After teaching in Bexley Borough, I moved to Montbelle and have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the school and having the opportunity to work with such wonderful students and staff for the past 6 years. I have been lucky to have had the experience of teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, Lower Key Stage 2 and Key Stage One during my career so far. Recently, joining the Senior Leadership Team here at Montbelle has allowed me to work with other leaders on school improvement priorities to ensure that every child at our school receives the first-class education they deserve. In my spare time I love to travel and visit exciting places with my new husband; in the summer holidays we conquered the Inca Trail in Peru!
