Welcome

My name is Elspeth Geden and I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Elspeth GedenMontbelle Primary School. I am very pleased to welcome you to our school website and I hope you find all the information you need.

As part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the school is situated between New Eltham and Chislehurst. We are a two-form entry school with a nursery offering morning or afternoon sessions with some full-time places. We enjoy using our spacious grounds; we are extremely fortunate to have two large playgrounds, a field, a Forest School and a wildlife area, all of which are fully incorporated into our exciting curriculum. Montbelle is an extended school where children can enjoy different extra-curricular activities and parents have access to fully qualified childcare from 7.30am to 6pm during the school term.

At Montbelle, we embrace ‘Learning together for Life’. Each member of the school community aims to provide the very best education for all our pupils.

We give time, so that each child can develop their academic, personal and social skills in a caring and stimulating environment. All of our pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, to help prepare them for the future. Every member of our Montbelle community has the right to reach their full potential and it is our aim to ensure this happens.

If there is anything else you would like to know, or you would like any information on policies in hard copies, please contact the school office. We are always happy to make arrangements for you to view the school – just contact the school office.

Elspeth Geden, Headteacher
